Message from Nurseryworks regarding NW Products: The recalls from 2007 have all consumers and manufacturers concerned. At Nurseryworks, safety has always been paramount to our mission. We want to assure you that our products, which are manufactured in China, are safe and follow all governmental guidelines for safety. Below are some highlights to help you understand our commitment to safety:
- All of our coatings and finishes are low-VOC, to include our lacquers and glues.
- Our coatings and finishes are tested quarterly by Intertek Laboratories (in the U.S)
- Our coatings and finishes are certified by Intertek to meet ASTM standards F963 and 16 CFR 1303) as well as the more stringent European standard EN71. Should you require copies of our certificates, please let us know. Nurseryworks has made a commitment to being as green as possible.
- To that end, we have chosen to complete a voluntary Greenguard certification program, part of which involves air-chamber testing our products to assess and eliminate toxic emissions. We are close to receiving our Greenguard certification.
- We also continue to use renewable materials and Grade E0 MDF when our designs call for it.
- Our bedding manufacturer uses formaldehyde-free dyes.
